Root Canal Treatment

Root canals are utilized to save a tooth from deep cavities, infection or nerve damage.  They are performed to save teeth so that they don’t have to be extracted.  

Root canals involve removed the “insides” or pulp of the tooth.  This is wear the teeth gets its nerve and blood supply.  After the pulp gets infected, invaded with bacteria from a cavity or is exposed after a crack then the pulp needs to be removed and the canals need to be disinfected and sealed.
